Tribute Trail to wrap around Training for Life Campus

SOMO is planning the Training for Life Campus Tribute Trail – a beautiful pathway nestled among the sports fields and facilities of our new SOMO Training for Life Campus. You can commemorate an athlete, team, coach or family with a contribution to support the Campus.

Tax Credits Available for More Donors

SOMO is making tax credits available to any Missouri taxpayer who donates $1,000 or more to support the Training for Life Campus. These 2017 tax credits are available immediately through the Missouri Development Finance Board (MDFB), and represent a 50% tax credit for donations.

SOMO Receives $1 Million Grant to Build Training for Life Campus

Special Olympics Missouri receives $1 million challenge grant to build Training for Life Campus SOMO has received a $1 million challenge grant from the Mabee Foundation to put the non-profit closer to building the Training for Life Campus. With this grant, SOMO's capital campaign has raised $16 million in cash, pledges and in-kind gifts - enough to build the 44,000 sq. ft. facility that will anchor the campus. The Jefferson City Chamber of Commerce Civic Progress Committee has been instrumental in the final push to complete the fundraising effort.

Banks are a big part of economic progress in Missouri – and now they’re seeing gold in various levels of sponsorship with the SOMO Training for Life Campus. The Campus, which is nearing an important fundraising deadline, will be built in Jefferson City in 2017.
